YMCA Tiger Academy is a free public charter elementary school serving Pre-K through 5th grade students in Jacksonville. Since opening our doors in 2009, YMCA Tiger Academy has been committed to educating the whole child — spirit, mind, and body — through a strong partnership with the First Coast YMCA.

The Tiger Difference

  • Longer school day (8:00am – 3:30pm) and school year than traditional public schools
  • Small class size ratios K-3rd Grades 1:18; 4th-5th Grades 1:22
  • Strong college focus from the first day students step into a classroom
